Description

The Fairphone 3/3+ in combination with Ubuntu Touch is currently the best option, if you value sustainability, fair trade materials, repairability and independency from Google and the Android operating systems. With its Snapdragon octa-core chip it delivers a solid performance all around. The 18:9 IPS display with a pixel-density of 427ppi has great viewing angles and shows no color shifts regardless of the viewing angle. Additionaly Ubuntu Touch for the Fairphone 3 is already prepared to run the new Waydroid container, which lets you run the Android applications, which you otherwise can't live without.

Maintainer notes

For new features to work, you maybe need to update your device, using the ubports-installer with the “bootstrap” option. That is, because the bootimage does not get updated, during an OTA update.

Report an Issue for
Fairphone 3 and 3+

Did the maintainer say that feature ‘works’ but you know from doing it that it really doesn’t?

Start by searching the device issue , if you found it, hopefully the porter is on it. 'Subscribe' to the issue in case it get solved.

Couldn't find it?

Uh-oh… Well it is time to let the porter and everyone else know about the fail and send the tech magic back to the workshop for a makeover.

1. Read 'Bug Reporting' section in UBports docs on 'How to report a bug'.

2. Then (this time), head to the device repository and submit it, so the porter knows about it.
