Xiaomi Redmi Note 7

Description

The Redmi Note 7 (Lavender) was released in 28 February 2019 by Xiaomi. At the time, it was a higher-end device, and it still holds up today, as an affordable option with decent features. However, you will have to buy it second hand, as Xiaomi has stopped officially selling them.

This is a development release of Ubuntu Touch, unless you want to help building the OS we recommend you to use the stable release .

Under heavy development relying only on the device porters. Many features including basic functionality may not work.
It will be the task of the porter to commit the work needed to make the device reach the standards to become fully supported.
These devices are only for those who are prepared to take the risk of using them.

How to install Ubuntu Touch OS

You can install Ubuntu Touch on this device using the UBports Installer on your computer.

Make sure the bootloader of your device is unlocked and that your device has the required version of Android installed. Before installing, follow the device-specific instructions below:

Please double-check that your device is a Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 (lavender).
If you haven't done so already, make sure to OEM unlock your device first.

You will also need to download manually some files specific for your port depending on the type of your install:
